Date: 19th July 2024 Time: 2:00pm - 2.30pm Location: Liverpool Cathedral, St James' Mount, Liverpool, L1 7AZ. After a successful event in 2023 & 2024, we're thrilled to announce the next abseil for July 2025. The Liverpool Cathedral abseil is a 150 ft drop that you will gradually lower yourself through and will commence down the West Door of the Cathedral. All funds raised will support Mersey Cares, the dedicated charity for Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust (Registration number 1191576) - to help our specialist, mental health and community services do more to fund enhanced support, projects, and services usually outside the scope of the NHS. Funding has allowed the charity to provide gifts and wellbeing packages for children in care, fund ZSA suicide awareness training and make therapeutic sensory gardens and spaces for patients working towards recovery to go home. Funding has allowed the set up a monthly support group for Young Onset Dementia patients, host interactive and creative spaces for children and young people to write about their experiences after COVID, and provide support for foster carers and parents to understand teenage emotions. But there is still so much more we can do to make a difference in the lives of our patients and service users within our communities and so I'm raising funds for this charity to do more good and #MakingItMerseycares for 2025!
