My Story

I am completing a sponsored Sky Dive for MerseyCare NHS Charity on 17th May 2025.

I currently work for The Early Intervention Team who offer assessment and treatment to those who are experiencing psychotic symptoms or suspected to be. We also offer a service for those who are at risk of developing a psychotic illness.

Psychosis affects so many people - whether they experience the illness themselves or whether they have a family member or friend suffering from the illness, it is imperative that care, support and education is provided consistently.

I am passionate about my role in The Early Intervention Team. I find it extremely rewarding due to being able to follow our service users journey and supporting them through their recovery. I feel lucky to work in a team who provide excellent care to our service users with a view to improving their overall mental health and ability to function in the community.

I am completing the sky dive in order to raise awareness of psychosis and to show my dedication to the team and the service users under our care.

Completing the sky dive is my way of raising vital funds to help ensure that MerseyCare can continue to provide the best possible care and support to those who need it. The funds raised will help MerseyCare to challenge stigma surrounding mental health, providing suicide awareness training, encouraging more people to talk about their wellbeing, tackling the structural and social barriers that can get in the way of good health and helping us to deliver an even better care within the communities we serve.
